Add vacation, company holidays, and other closure periods in FlowCaptain.

Closures

Closures mark periods when no appointments are available. The voice bot automatically informs callers and states the reason.

You can find the settings under Calendar → Closures.

Adding a Closure

Click Add Closure and fill in the fields:

Start DateFirst day of the closure (inclusive).
End DateLast day of the closure (inclusive).
ReasonWhy you're closed (e.g. "Summer vacation", "Renovation", "Company holiday"). This is communicated to the caller.

How It Works

When a caller asks about availability on a closed day, FlowCaptain responds with something like:

"We're closed from December 23rd to 30th for the holidays. Would you like me to check the next available day?"

Closures take precedence over opening hours — even if a day is normally open, no appointments are offered during a closure period.

Public Holidays

In addition to manual closures, FlowCaptain knows the public holidays for your region (configured under Calendar → Settings → Country & State). On public holidays, the voice bot automatically informs the caller, e.g.:

"We're closed on Monday for German Unity Day."
